Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
Who we are
Open Workout System ("OWS", "the service") is operated by Loop & Pixel LLC, a limited liability company registered in the United States. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Loop & Pixel LLC, and "you" means the person using the service.
By creating an account or using OWS, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
Health and safety — please read this one
OWS is a fitness tracking and planning tool. It is not a medical device, and nothing in it is medical advice. Workouts, programs, nutrition targets, body-composition figures and AI-generated suggestions are informational estimates produced by software. They are not a diagnosis, a prescription, or a substitute for a qualified professional.
Exercise carries risk of injury. Consult a physician before starting any exercise or nutrition program, particularly if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, take medication, or are returning from injury. Stop and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, chest discomfort or shortness of breath. You are responsible for exercising within your own capabilities, and you use the service at your own risk.
Your account
You need an account to use OWS. You must be at least 16 years old. Keep your login credentials secure — you're responsible for activity under your account. Give us accurate information, and keep it current.
AI features
OWS includes an AI assistant and AI-generated content. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or misleading, and calorie, macro and body-composition figures are estimates rather than measurements. Check anything that matters before acting on it. You can connect your own AI provider key, in which case that provider's terms and pricing apply to your usage of it.
Content you contribute
Your personal data — logs, measurements, photos, private notes — stays yours and stays private, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Separately, you can choose to contribute exercises, sessions, programs and corrections to the public library. When you do, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to host, display, adapt and redistribute that contribution as part of the library, including to other users. You keep ownership of what you contribute. Only submit content you have the right to share. Because contributions become part of a shared library that others build on, we may not be able to remove a contribution once others have relied on it — though we will always remove personal data on request.
Acceptable use
Don't use OWS to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or harm others. Don't attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or other users' data, interfere with its operation, scrape it at scale, resell access, or use automated means to consume shared resources — including AI usage — beyond normal personal use. We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.
Subscriptions and payment
Some features are available on a paid subscription. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders — Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns. This means Paddle, not Loop & Pixel LLC, is the seller of record for your purchase, and any applicable sales tax or VAT is handled by Paddle.
Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. Prices are shown before you buy. We may change prices for future billing periods with reasonable notice; your existing period is unaffected.
A paid plan includes a monthly allowance of AI usage, stated on your account page. The allowance resets each month and does not roll over. If you exhaust it, AI features pause until the allowance resets — or you can connect your own AI provider key and continue without limit. Everything that isn't AI-powered keeps working regardless.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancelling stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. See our Refund Policy for refunds.
Availability and changes
OWS is under active development. Features may change, and we may add, modify or remove them. We aim to keep the service running but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability — maintenance, third-party outages and problems beyond our control happen. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose; you can export your data at any time from your Account page.
Ending your use
You can stop using OWS and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or where required by law. If we terminate your account without cause while you have paid time remaining, we'll refund the unused portion.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or that AI output will be accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Loop & Pixel LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Alameda County, California, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of protections you have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll give reasonable notice before it takes effect — by email or in the app. Continuing to use OWS after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
